Home was written by and sung by levi austen. To pay tribute to all the men and women of our United States Armed Forces past and present along with their families. We love you all and are waiting for the ones at war to come home.

Levi Austen's son and nephew went into the Marines and the experience of this set the stage for the song "home". Not just what the soldier goes through but the families of them too.

seems like forever since he kissed his mom goodbye
he sends her letters to let her know everythings alright
he's always been around us but we dont see him anymore
he graduated high school and went straight into the core
he's been fighting in a war and i know he feels alone
mama prays that jesus will keep him safe and bring him home
lord i know you walked on water
and i hear you made the blind man see
if you hear this prayer that i am praying
could you bring my son back home to me
its almost four in the morning
he wakes to a crashing sound
he gets up and grabs his gun and he tries to hold his ground
he wont go down easily the fight goes on for days
when he feels he cant go on he hits his knees and prays
lord i know you walked on water
and i hear you made the blind man see
if you hear this prayer that i am praying
could you look down here on me
they pull into the driveway the officers come up to the door
when mama sees them standing there she drops to the floor
could this be that dreaded day she prayed would never come
mam a fight broke out in bagdad and we cant find your son
intrumental
staring at the runway as the plane touches down
the families there with mama but noone makes a sound
fighting back their tears their lives have all been changed
but she knew god heard her prayers when her son stepped off that plane
