I was listening to a song and I thought the singer said Sheriff Coaltrain so I decided it was time to write a song with a ficticious character.

Sheriff Coaltrain was riding home one day.
Oh Sheriff Coaltrain was riding home one hot and dusty day.
He never really saw it coming.
He never did and that's a fact.
The good Sheriff took ...
a bullet in the back
He had a heavy burden that he carried (slight pause)

And a rifle by his side.
Cause he was the only law
that anyone can recall
The women and men cried the day he died
And that lonesome road that he travelled
Was a long and righteous path
untill some drunkin' thieven' men
cowards to the end
