I was listening to a Hip-Hop podcast and they were playing West Coast music. However, the music did nopt sound like West Coast rap at all. It didn;t even sound like rap music. It was some watered down pop music that a White dude with no rap skills produced. I was peturbed by the way someone would portray themselves as a genre when they don't even sound like thwe genre they claim to be performing. So, with that in mind I sat down wrote what I consider to be a genuine West Coast Hip-Hop song with all the piano trills of the dog pound, the melodious nature of Dre and the hard hitting lyrics like NWA. Real West Coast Hip-Hop without the Pop shit in it.
