I have always wanted to write a song with this kind of theme. I have so many friends and family who are Gay and I have witnessed some of the crap that they go through many times. In this song I just wanted to say that we all no better than to judge other people just because they are different. Yet, so many of us do it anyway. Many use their religious beliefs to justify their actions. Others don't need a reason to be ugly. they just are. It's wrong and you know it.

You know that we all are saved by grace.
You know the creator makes no mistakes
Johnny's not like the other boys, he has liner on his eyes
He hangs out with the girls not boys, he's so shy around guys
He never chose to be the way he is, its just the way he was born
He's so scared to tell anyone he's gay, and face the judgment and scorn
You know that we all are saved by grace.
You know the creator makes no mistakes
Shirleys not like the other girls, she's not playing with dolls
She plays football with boys all day, and winks at girls in the halls
She's been hiding a secret all her life, in the closet she stays
Out of fear that her loved ones would not like, to know that she's really gay
You know that we all are saved by grace.
You know the creator makes no mistakes
You know that we all fall short of the mark
You know that what counts is what you feel in your heart
You know that you can't change who or what you are
You know that hatred leaves some very deep seated scars
You know you don't have the right to judge
You know we must live our lives filled with love
You know that we all are saved by grace.
You know the creator makes no mistakes
You know, you know, you know
You know, you know you know
