This song is about maintaining the innocence and wonder of youth
Stoneman wrote, produced and performed everything on this recording

I originally wrote this song in the summer of 2012. However, after it was complete I concluded that it was not good enough and sentenced it to the archival trash heap. Recently, I went to see my 6 year old grand niece play T-Ball and was reminded about the song as she was my inspiration for it. So, I searched and found it in my archives, revived it and this is the final result.

Hold on to your sunshine, never let it fade away
Hold on to your sunshine, so every nights like day and every days a sunny day
I see the sunshine in her little face, I see it when she runs to play
With Barbie dolls and a little princess dress, a pirouette while she pretends that she is in the ballett.
She Laughs and giggles at my corny jokes and when she's tired she starts to yawn.
My little angels eyelids start to droop, I hope she's dreaming she is running playing in the sun.
Hold on to your sunshine, never let it fade away
Hold on to your sunshine, so every nights like day and every days a sunny day
With every moment she is growing up, preparing to shine on the world
No longer drinking from her sippy cup, but still collecting rocks as treasures like diamonds and pearls
She sings and claps to all the disney songs and smiles the biggest brightest smile
And when I'm acting like a silly clown, her laughter fills the room with all those sunshine angel sounds.
Hold on to your sunshine, never let it fade away
Hold on to your sunshine, so every nights like day and every days a sunny day
Just keep smiling, and keep shining those angel sunshine beams
Keep glowing and keep growing so all the world can see
Hold on to your sunshine, never let it fade away
Hold on to your sunshine, so every nights like day and every days a sunny day
