My wife and I have always enjoyed a wonderful connection that included a certain day of the week that we always have special fun. Doesn't mean that we don't have fun on other days of the week but this one day is a special day that we both look forward to every week. In this song I took the idea of two people who are together on the weekends but have work to do during the week that prevents them from being together. I chose Saturday because most people who work have Saturdays off.
