It couldn't have been easy, seven kids in all
All wanting your attention must have drove you up the wall
Most families have their black sheep, for ours it was me
Obeying rules was just for fools and I needed to be free
I've done my share of drinking and I toked a time or two
fighting, lying, stealing were all things I used to do
The late-night scenes and tight blue-jeans, lovers by the score
While momma prayed I'd change my ways I prayed to God for more
