Some pretty acoustic guitar picking and a rousing chorus.

One of my closest friends is a well-to-do lawyer, while I'm a struggling musician - we're complete opposites in many ways. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that all my friends are very different than me, but we share a love of music. This is a song for my friends.

We are strange friends
Not exactly bookends
Different as the night and day
Different in so many ways
But you know that I know
That any time I need a friend
It's on you you know I can depend
And there's never gonna be an end
My friend
And our lives unfold before us
As we're dancing down the road
Let us all enjoy the chorus
Before the song gets too old
And the song goes on
And the song, the song goes on
And the song goes on
And the song, the song goes on
Changes we've been through
Mistakes we made as we grew
Growing pot on your window sill
Was not a very good idea
But you know that I know
That any time you need a friend
It's on me you know you can depend
And there's never gonna be an end
My friend
And our lives unfold before us
As we're dancing down the road
May our journey never bore us
For the wonders we behold
(Chorus)
Brothers through and through
And I mean that for all of you
Glad we had the time
To see each other in our prime
And you know that I know
That any time you need a friend
It's on me you know you can depend
And there's never gonna be an end
My friend
(Chorus)
