A powerful, driving acoustic guitar is the only percussion. It is set against a sparser, haunting, vocal melody, and rich harmonies. Memorable and visual lyrics.

I wrote this back in 2010, when someone I loved was coming out of a deep depression - it was like coming back to life, so it made me think of Lazarus being raised from the dead.

After five years of darkness
After five years of night
Like a field full of sunflowers
Straining for the light
You have thrown off the covers of your
Hospital bed, and you
Just might recover
Though you thought
You were dead
Arise, Lazarus arise!
Come to me and open up your eyes
I am not your savior
But, I know he'll be here soon
Arise!
In the blue, waning moonlight
At the crust of the day
When the morning is waiting
For that very first ray
And I watch you in slumber, and I
Pray that you dream, was the
Love you remember
Quite as good as it seems
Arise, Lazarus, arise!
Come to me and open up your eyes
I am not your savior
But, I know he'll be here soon
Arise!
The crowd is out side waiting for you now
The shroud is off, so come and take a bow
Have you crossed every river
Just to rot in some tomb
I think death is forever
And it comes way too soon
There's a way you can beat it, and the
Way is to live, you can
Not be defeated if you'll
Only believe
Arise, Lazarus arise!
Come to me and open up your eyes
I am not your savior
But, I know he'll be here soon
Arise!
