This is a song that improves as you drink more Guinness.

I don't get drunk or stoned very often any more, but when I was a lad, I did my share. I remember (barely) one particular 24 hour period in Gort, Ireland where I drank 26 pints of Guinness. At least, that's how I remember it. Those were the days.

I got wasted in Ireland
So what else is new?
I had eight or ten pints
And a whiskey or two
When we fell in my bed
I was too drunk to screw
So I woke he next morning alone
But you always would call
In the late afternoon
And I always professed
I was changing my tune
So you'd take me to dance
By the light of the moon
Bt all it would change wasa the tide
I got drunk in Miami
On cola and rum
Though I knew that my head
Would be beat like a drum
And you asked me, "Now, why would I
Sleep with a bum
So I woke the next morning alone
(Chorus)
I got stoned up in Humboldt
When I was a kid
I was eighteen or nineteen
The first time I did
And you left long before
We had smoked the last lid
So I woke the next morning alone
(Chorus)
I was tripping in Berkeley
In a residence hall
Watching people loat by
With my back to the wall
When I kissed you, you said,
"I don't know you at all"
And I woke the next morning alone
(Chorus)
