This is a punk song about the tale from Greek Mythology about Orpheus and Euridice. In the story Orpheus travels down to hell to find his dead bride, but after singing to the rules of hades, they say he can only get her back by traveling back to the land of the living and not look back the whole way. Well this is a long journey, and he cannot hear her footsteps anymore, so at the last minute he looks back, and looses her forever. He lives the rest of his life in misery and longing. So the song is about not his journey to get his love lost, but into his own private hell.
Written by "A Human", and composed by "A Human and His Stds".

Don't tell me I'm dying, that I've lost my mind.
Don't tell me I'm changing, from all the bad times.
But thank you for coming, on this dark day
Take from me my coppers, and lead me to my way...
I'm headed, By the Way, Into a Private Hell
By the Way, Into a Private Hell
By the Way, Into a Private Hell
Lying in the dirt, with a mouthful of dust.
Swoop down and scoop me out, pretty watchers from above.
I'm far from a person, and I'm hours from a friend.
Soon enough I'll be near the bend.
Why aren't the stars, still above my head?
Why is my cough, turning so red?
Down the road, if there's angels in the trees.
Their soft singing, will fill you so full of peace.
On your long journey, past the river Styx.
In the dead trees, they'll make you wish,
Your lost soul, had a chance of hope.
You almost looked back, even though...
Your, By the Way, Into a Private Hell
By the Way, Into a Private Hell
By the Way, Into a Private Hell
