Sounds of industry heard as a young man growing up in a blue collar town.

Many of us who grew up in the 50’s and 60’s on the West side of Danville can relate to this song. It’s about the sounds that we used to hear at night as we opened our windows to get some cool air. These sounds can no longer be heard because they were the sounds made by industry that no longer exists in this town. There are probably hundreds of towns in the same boat today, as Danville. The song is applicable to them all, with maybe some different names applied.
