This is a latin-tinged tune. It features a dialogue between the male and the female vocalist.

I wrote this song while in the Composers Ensemble at Cornish College of the Arts. I wrote the music and the lyrics. Since I don't sing, I had a couple of classmates sing on the recording.

Love is not unlike the ocean.
Love is always ebbing if not flowing.
You know me and I'm on your side but tides,
they will try to pull us apart, love.
I won't let go.
When we come together, we love enough baby
to get through the storms.
When we drift apart, I hold you in my heart
and send messages in bottles too.
If you'll flow with me, I'll flow with you.
Years can be unkind.
The many years, like currents, wash us onto new shores.
I know you and you're on my side, but time,
it will try to get in between us.
I won't let go.
When we come together, we love enough baby
to get through the storms.
When we drift apart, I hold you in my heart
and send messages in bottles too.
If you'll flow with me, I'll flow with you.
