BETTER TIMES WILL COME is the family motto of the Cash clan. The song was inspired by Ray Cash, who toiled unceasingly for his family through poverty, floods, tragedy and recession. His son Johnny was scarred by the tragic death of his brother at age 14, and during his adult years, fought a seemingly endless battle with addiction, while Johnny’s children were born into all the material trappings of country music royalty, but never enjoyed a normal family upbringing. We hope you enjoy this song of hope as you listen to it, and that it helps to remind you that as you face, as we all do, whatever obstacles life puts in our path, that, after hard times, better times will come.
