Sounds like the Cowboy Gondoliers
Boris, Mandala, Peter Brown

It's like Smoke on the Water. The Cowboy Gondoliers were going to a gig, but their equipment truck fell into the Sinkhole and was never seen again. They borrowed gear for that night's show, and inspired by the events fo the day, wrote and performed this song that very night. The Spacenude Boys are proud to finally cover this moving anthem.

You're used to having bad commutes
But this morning's gonna be a brute
When there's a hole in the pavement like
something right out of Beruit
I've never seen a sinkhole so big,
it could swollow an entire oil rig
Watch out, everyone,
you know that's a hell of a SINKHOLE
They're setting out the orange cones,
And you never felt so alone,
As you're waiting in your car
You can't turn around cause you've gone too far
Watch where you're going, don't fall in,
Nobody's safe, and you'll never win
when the city of champions
has a black and sinister SINKHOLE
Did you fall asleep behind the wheel
While you're waiting for a plate of steel
To be laid down on the street
To give passage 'til the road can be healed
Watch where you're going, don't fall in,
Nobody's safe, and you'll never win
when the City of Champions
has a black and sinister SINKHOLE
Do you dream of flames up to the skies
As you look right into the devil's eyes
and you say, "go away, go away, go away"
This city's sanctified fro your lies
go back to your stinking hole,
and leave Edmonton alone,
go back you evil devil,
to your black and sinister SINKHOLE
go back to your stinking hole,
and leave Edmonton alone,
go back you evil devil,
to your black and sinister SINKHOLE
go back to your stinking hole,
and leave Edmonton alone,
go back you evil devil,
to your black and sinister SINKHOLE
sinister SINKHOLE
