I wrote this song in response to my friends putting together a benefit show to help me pay medical bills. January 2008 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. I had surgery in February that year and the friends did a show in May.
I wrote it while I was on 3rd shift playing on a cheap 3/4 sized guitar. This recording I did this August in my bedroom at my daughter's house. Since my cancer I have gone through bankruptcy, divorce, gave back to the bank my van and my house... so I have to start all over and rerecording this song and my music keeps my head on straight and gives me the knowledge that everything is gonna be alright! Plus my oncologist told me i should consider myself a survivor...
