A love song that I wrote for my wife while walking our dog along the Coquitlam River. I basically wrote the tune in my head and played it and recorded the demo when I got home from the walk. It's became the title track for our latest CD, "River of My Soul" that was nominated for a 2008 Western Canadian Music Award. The song is also being played on international blues radio. It's funny how the tunes that basically write themselves are usually the most well received.

RIVER OF MY SOUL
Written by: STEVE "MUD DOG" SAINAS
In the river of my soul
There's a love that'll never run cold
Through the deepest valley it flows
With every bend my love for you grows
There's a deep love in the river of my everlasting soul
Though white water breaks on river stone
You will never ever be alone
Even on the highest fall
I will always give you my all
Yes There's a deep love in the river of my everlasting soul
(bridge)
This river has so many twists and turns
And troubled waters that we must endure
And as we head out to the sea
What will be will come eventually
And as we drift out on the stormy ocean
Aimless, without direction
Together we will find the shore
With our love we'll need nothing more
There's a deep love in the river of my everlasting soul
There's a deep love in the river of my everlasting soul
There's a deep love in the river of my everlasting soul
