This is a song about growing up.

I grew up in a town named Hartland where, for the most part, I didn't fit in. I was made fun of a lot and didn't get along very well. I found myself bitter and alone. Then in my sophomore year in high school, I moved to Lowell and had to start over fresh. Grant it, I didn't change, but I found that I fit in better there than in Hartland. Senior year, I wrote this song as a reflection of my time in Hartland. It was my way of finally acknowledging my bad feelings and moving on.
