TWO HEARTS
I ran to the street when I heard the crazy sound
To see what was going down
There was a girl in a gown holding up a bright torchlight
Around her, a pair of suitors spoiling for a fight
Two hearts aching, one heart breaking
And how the scene will end's unknown
The reel is humming, the future is coming
But it ain't happened yet and it ain't set in stone
The one guy with the hat growled back off man she's mine
As he unfolded her ensign
The other pulled out a knife, you forget who runs this town
The lady leaves with me or I'll lay you to the ground
Two hearts aching, one heart breaking
And how the scene will end's unknown
The reel is humming, the future is coming
But it ain't happened yet and it ain't set in stone
A clear old voice called from the window high above
Her heart belongs to he who shows her the best love
Two hearts aching, one heart breaking
And how the scene will end's unknown
The reel is humming, the future is coming
But it ain't happened yet and it ain't set in stone
