COLD BETTY
On the train of a travelling circus
As it rolled through the muddy plain
Sat the dwarves upon a wagon in the rain
When they huddled in for cover
Cold Betty became enraged
At the crack of her stock whip their skin did fray
Now they're trying hard to make it go away
Cold Betty's gonna break your heart
She'll get her claws in you right from the start
And you ask me was there any good part
And I don't know what to say
I just wish Cold Betty far, far away
In the cage of the wounded tiger
Hopped three crows from the hottest Hades
Who picked flesh from his wounds as he rolled around in pain
From the shadows of the Big Top
Cold Betty watched on amazed
And her twisted grin is burnt upon my brain
Now I'm trying hard to make it go away
Cold Betty's gonna break your heart
She'll get her claws in you right from the start
And you ask me was there any good part
And I don't know what to say
I just wish Cold Betty far, far away
She was caught in the crossfire of war and Satan
Her daddy left when she was six and a half
She made a deal with the Devil to be loved, hey hey
Cold Betty's gonna break your heart
With her claws she will tear you apart
And you ask me was there any good part
And I don't know what to say
I just wish Cold Betty far, far away
Yeah I wish Cold Betty far, far away
