RIVERS IN THE SKY
I remember so clearly
Riding scooters, playing games on summer days
In our childhood
Then along came a knight in shining armour
To rescue you from the blame
And the shame
Put in your heart
When he said he was leaving
You fell down to your knees
And you cried rivers in the sky
And the dream that was broken
Was to much for a girl so frail
Drew a final wail
From your heart
I know there will come a time
When th lord will paint the sky
In a blinding light
But until that day yeah
We gotta be with each other through the joy
And the suffering
All the way
When I heard of your suicide
I collapsed on the staircase
And cried rivers in the sky
And the sea that was heaving
It broke the lock on your chain
And released you from your pain
To the sky
