"Your flower appeared to my eyes, more lovely than I could suppose. And when your petals unfurled, I got lost in your rose"

LOST IN YOUR ROSE
In every soul is a place
That lies closed to the world
A sacred garden to pray
For all that is yearned
And as I lay down to write
With my pen and my poem
And all the tears that you cry
When you’re wasted and alone
Your flower appeared to my eyes
More lovely than I could suppose
And when your petals unfurled
I got lost in your rose
I was stranded somewhere
It seemed no light ever shone
Choked by damp musty air
I lost the will to go on
And as I lay down to die
On ground as hard as a stone
With all the fear that you feel
When you’re wasted and alone
Your fragrance drew me to life
And I had no power to oppose
And when your petals unfurled
I got lost in your rose
I braved Winter’s cold eyes
Under his grey monotone
With all the dreams that you dream
When your wasted and alone
Until Spring finally sprung
Oh with the flower you chose
And when your petals unfurled
I got lost in your rose
I got lost in your rose
