LADYLIKE
From the tree the dove was cooing on, wooing on
Danced a feather of her plume
Above the field where you were tilling love, willing love
Coaxing harvest to the bloom
And as the buds come alive
You stand there with your hair in the wind
So Ladylike
So Ladylike
The jagged peak the clouds were dressing on, blessing on
Reflected lightening from the storm
And on the sheets where you were ripping love, sipping love
The spilt goblet wine was warm
And as the sun floods the glass
You lie there with the rays on your skin
So Ladylike
So Ladylike
The painted dolls the day was dreaming of, scheming of
You arranged along the sill
And the secrets you hide
You keep etched in the braid of your ring
So Ladylike
So Ladylike
