Can't make love work no matter how hard one tries. Giving up on love.

How did it ever get this way
So many broken promises so many things to say
If we only had just a little more time
If we only had less obstacles and more mountains to climb
From up there we might make sense of it all
Or maybe we'd just stumble trip and fall
Again, Again
Damn destiny, damn my stupid pride
You only wanted happiness all you got were lies
Walking away don't come so easy to me
I wanted you forever now I am setting you free
How I wished I could make sense of it all
But in the end I'd stumble, trip, and ruin it all
Again, Again
Go now child, your better off alone
you deserve the world you wanted keep the love you own
I'll just sit here forever waiting for my turn
Waiting for the sun to set me free
In the mean time I'll just bide my time
Play with my guitar and think of better words that rhyme
Until the next time I stumble, trip and then ruin it all
