As the new pylon design has been unveiled, I'd like to pay tribute to the old one. They are as much a part of the landscape as the trees.I recall being very wary of them as a child, a strange compulsion to stand beneath them but wanting to be as far away as possible.Are they just going to uproot themselves and march away? They seem almost alive and the buzzing they make is the murmur of hidden conversations....
