A bit out there really, about a supernatural intervention, where an angel collect the thoughts of lovers and passes them to a songwriter who has the ability to say the things they'd like but can't, in the lyrics of his songs.... the song was inspired by the story of Bernadette Souberou - The lady of Lourdes, who's selfless suffering made it possible for others to be healed by the spring she found but was not allowed to use it to heal herself ("the spring is not for me...") and Minstrel Gigolo by Christopher Cross, where the singer/songwriter 'keeps on going, miles and miles a day, searching for the songs to play'.
