Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is another day,
Today is a new day, am gonna do things,
This way, that way, which way, pick one, this one,
Is a story of a lonely child,
Living in a neighborhood of selling drugs
Living with a single mother who doesn’t have,
Living a lonely life, she so sad,
She lay awake all night wishing that she had
She gat no shelter, she gat no food,
She looking unto you to give her clothes to put on
She asks herself what is there tomorrow
If she still lives this life full of sorrow
She looks up to the skies everyday
Praying that this day will be a brighter day
The only hope that she has is herself to pray
That God will see her through all the pain
We gatto make changes, change this shit
We gatto change status, live a better life
Pray for the state, and pray for the status
Pray for the things that will never change
I met this young kid known as brad
Standing on a corner, he so sad
His parents killed in the war in Iraq
Such stresses leave him so enraged
His brother killed from selling drugs
His sister so poor she sells her body
He has a broken home, he’s gat nothing to hold on
He looks up to you, come on hold his hand
Everything is messed every single day
Am gonna do things my way, what he says
He tried to sell drugs, ended up in jail,
Tried to steal food, ended up in jail
Tried to beg in the streets, ended up being beat
Gat the knees on the floor, what is going on?
What am I living for? What am I striving for?
Can somebody come take away this life?
They gat money for wars but cant help the poor
They see children dying, but keep on denying
Many people hopeless, surviving by crime
No wonder we have many prostitutes this time
Children with no parents, single parent homes
Homeless families, living in the storm
Starving children, looking up to you
War ridden homes, looking up to you
The way the world is going, there will be no tomorrow
But there is none to blame, for all this sorrow
We gat to make changes, we gat to start to sow
For the lives tomorrow, depend on today
Sometimes it seems like things are bad already
People dying, there is no hope for the future
But one thing I say to maself,
Keep holding on, there will be a better tomorrow
