Mother Nature
When it rains in the Mamaku
Its 100 years till the water flows
in the Redwood trees
And the spring is crystal clear
As the water runs away
the trees wave farewell in the breeze
20000 litres a second, to the sea
When the water falls in Fiordland
It hits the sea with
The force of an open dam
water floats upon the sea
like a lake in a valley
resting on solid land
a billion plus litres of water, on the sea
Bridge
Mother Nature, ooohh ohhh
Ahhh Mother Nature
She’s Looking after me
She’s Looking after you
The water gives way to an ocean of green
Grasses and leaves adorn the dunes and the dales
Birds walk around the forest floor
The trees bend over like a sloop, under sail
Mother natures creatures living as one
Mountain peaks catch the winter snow
as it falls from the sky and
waits for the summer sun
Mother nature has a storage plan
For the water she needs when
The summer drought has begun
Mother nature is looking after her land
