Looked around just to see what’s showing
What so many believe without ever knowing
*Everyone’s jumped
on the wagon with the band
can’t see just where it’s going
it’s surely not slowing down
careful where you stand

Standing proudly behind banners flags and slogans
Shouting loud words that should not be spoken*

so much that I don’t understand
how’d we get this way?
Light suggestions
Now absolute demands
Desperate to hold sway
Now try as I may it’s hard to stay centered
Like to leave this world same way I entered
Everyone’s jumped
