My life has been a struggle - since it first began
Yielding to temptation – guided by the devil’s hand
Lust and greed my drivers – with chaos in control
I had all of nothing - and the devil had my soul
One night I took assessment of all I’d really gained
My life was void of happiness – Not a real friend could I name
I’d never known contentment – In anything I’d done
And I remembered mama telling me about God and his Son

These worldly tribulations and crises made by man

My friend we’re all in that same boat – While living here on earth
We must weigh the worldly gain – and decide what it’s worth
My soul for short lived riches is just too much to pay
When I stand before the Lord on the Great Judgment Day
To all the non-believers – the devil is stringing along
With just one go around in this world can you afford to be wrong
It’s very clear the choice we make will determine the end reward
And as for me and my house – we will serve the Lord
