Co-write with my wife - our neighbor was mowing grass and took a break to shoot the breeze. He was a retired truck driver and began to daydream about driving across Texas on a beautiful summer day. That became our first verse and we put a story around that scene

A Lover’s Harmony
Writer: Bruce Scism / Beth Scism
I dreamed I was truckin’ through Texas
The full moon was in my view
I had my windows down
And the wind was blowin’ through
I stopped for a cold drink, near Houston
The band played a zydeco tune
The waitress she had a sweet, pretty smile
And her eyes were a heavenly blue
I dreamed that I met my true love
The way she loved me was a beautiful thing
She wrapped her loving arms around me
I sang a lover’s harmony
Like a songbird she sang sweetly
I could not resist, I did not try
She sang and we danced
Paid no mind to the passing of time
Well the moonlight did fade, the song ended
I bent down to kiss her adieu
If you’d like, she said, we could sing one more
And from the first note we started anew
Chorus
Now there’s mornings I wake up, early
The moon bright and in full view
I whisper the tune she sang that night
A song about dreams coming true
Chorus
