a little something for the winter solstice. i wrote this song nearly a year go, just coming right off of the holidays. i kind of got lost in the melodies and it sort of became a trance-y song about losing control, embracing uncertainty, and leading with the best of intentions

i broke and i know i’m still not the same
i still cover up my face
hope it can hide the shame
don’t know why it took so long to find my grace
hope you know i’m still on my way
still know that i’m wrong sometimes
doesn’t mean i can’t make it right
just need you to ease my mind
take me out of town
and into the night
Ooh
Something to ease my mind
Ooo
Tell me when I’m out of line
will you keep me calm
when i say i’m not okay
will you listen up or will you look the other way
i can’t turn it off
i’m bottled up
with no words to say
i just think about
old history, stupid mistakes
still know that i’m wrong sometimes
doesn’t mean i can’t make it right
just need you to ease my mind
take me out of town
and into the night
Ooh
Something to ease my mind
Ooo
Tell me when I’m out of line
