This Song I wrote for my oldest daughter after she was going through post partum depression, after feeling deserted by her child's father. She was one of my chosen daughter who was abandoned by her birth mother and the pain of being abandoned again and again was all too difficult for her to handle. This song lifted her spirit although it also brought her to tears.

I was living as if nothing but heartache mattered.
Trapped in wishes and all that couldn’t be.
I longed for a life that was easy.
Giving love but not feeling loved completely.

There wasn’t anything I wanted anymore.

I have all the love I was longing for.

I wasn’t chasing fame or reaching for glory.
But all I worked for had faded from view.
That stole my heart and left me needy.

My days are now filled with joy and beauty.
Having love has altered my story.
I’m no longer focusing on pain.
Or have any need to worry again.
