A sweet song with a fast tempo

I had been struggling with some medical issues and later it was discovered that I had two benign brain tumor. However, during the times when I was feeling unwell, I found solace in writing poetry and lyrics. That was no different following the hours after my tumor was removed. As I reflect on those events, I recall that when one of the doctors came to see me in recovery that my eyes were closed.
He said, Ruth, "can you follow my fingers."
I responded, "I don't want to follow your fingers."
He then said, “I would feel terrible if we blinded you during that surgery.”
I opened my eyes and fixed them on his face but did not follow his fingers. upon my discharged from the hospital, I had an appointment with him. I told him that I couldn't find my sweet spot, a few days after that visit while still recovering from surgery, I wrote ‘the sweet spot,’ lyrics.

I thought I lost my Sweet Spot
I began wrestling with life a little bit.
I thought I lost my sweet spot
I felt pushed far beyond my limits.
The hands of God were always there,
Even when I was drowning in despair.
The hands of God lead me to a place
And it was there, that I was repaired.
It was as if he said, hello dear.
I don't want you to quit.
And don't take your eyes off me.
Not even for a minute.
I wanted a life without scars.
So, I ignored his messages.
But in that moment I was aware.
My sweet spot had reappeared.
It was as if he said, hello dear.
I don't want you to quit.
And don't take your eyes off me.
Not even for a minute.
