a postcard from 'somewhere-beside-the-sea'

I'm beside meself in 'somewhere-beside-the-sea'
and besides a silly seagull there's no one else to see
come on everybody sing up!!
I'm beside meself in 'somewhere-beside-the-sea'
and besides a silly seagull there's no one else to see
olde chip wrappers go like the clappers
swirling along the prominade
so entrancing it seems they're dancing...
like flappers from a bye-gone age..
"well mother 'ere I am again at 'somewhere-beside-the-sea'
the seagulls are spittin' feathers
because the weather's lousy you see..."
and besides a silly seagull there's no one else to see.
