A soothing reflective song of faith.
|
I wrote it one day feeling grateful that my body is still in good enough shape to do a work for the Lord, despite my advancing years.
|
So long ago You spread Your hands and called upon the Father’s name
You raised the dead and healed the sick and cured the sightless and the lame
You touched the heart and taught us love and took our blame
Because You gave all for me, I’ll serve You Lord, this I proclaim
With my hands redeemed from sin I will faithfully pray
And raise them to You in worship each day
I’ll put into action the call of my faith
With my hands strong and willing I’ll work for Your way
Your word tells me with certainty faith without works is dead
Fruit of my labors is richer than words that I have heard or that I’ve said
I offer my hands to the voice of Your will
Surrender my yearnings, my passions, my skill
