And on the land
Across the fields
In the blowing sands
And the dying yields
And in the light of a waning moon
Take the long way home someday soon
We waited for a storm to pass through
In an infernal summer and destroy the view
And by the night we saw the typhoon
Kill the light of the waning moon
(Oh where were you?)
When morning arrived we built our walls
A brand new still life, but you may recall
That you’ve had yours since you were small
And once you longed to see them fall
So you found a door and a window pane
To let the light in, but it was all in vain
So that in the night, under a waning moon
We could reunite someday soon
