Girl in the Cab - Good old fashioned Power Pop tempo - rhythm guitar is akin to Undertones style and chorus line came up very quickly when writing the lyrics. Also tipped tow in the water and produced a video.

Song story developed after the initial “Girl in the Cab” line came up in the head. Then built the story around Girl running away from home, so fits the upbeat/slightly aggressive tempo of the song with a story that’s not bubblegum but a bit more real.

This lovely girl’s absorbed it in her stride.
Its the first time that she knows that she’s really got to go.
So instantly she saw his face was Tight.
Then ruthlessly attacked her with his Spite.
And now that she knows she calls a cab and goes
