Remixed this old song

I'm not actually a prayer but when I see people on opposing sides hoping for their God to be better than another God I needed to write about it in a song.
|
God, you talk to sinners
God you talk to slaves and make them free
God, you speak with Generals and you converse with Kings
so why don't you ever talk to me.
You show eternal life to terrorists
You give the same advice to opposing teams
You appear to people dying
Wipe the tears of people crying
But I can't even see you in my dreams.
CHORUS
God, I'm not a sinner, God, I'm not a slave
Don't want to be a winner, always try to behave
I pour my heart out and I shout so you'll hear
It's a one way conversation and I live in fear
that somehow I upset you, I made your patience crack
Oh God, I'm always talking to you but you never answer me
no you never answer me back
God, did I upset you
God, did I do something wrong and didn't know?
They say you're everywhere and you see everything
but if you're mad at me, tell me so
CHORUS repeat
God, you're a stranger, I don't know you at all
But, whenever I'm in danger I go to the wailing wall
I rock away my sadness, I whisper and I grieve
But God, you never answer me so why should I believe?
