Killing prey, pounding rhythms,
Our tools mark the passage of time
Hypnotic drumming drew us to our tribes,
Before the first spoken rhyme,
We danced around a fire watching the flames,
Watching them climb...
Subliminal prophecies in unknown tongues, bicameral minds evolving...
Howling dissonance,
Joyful cries,
Laughter, quiet sighs,
A new language blooming into melodies, under moonlit skies,
Chanting in reverence to a God not yet imagined,
Before man invented lies...
