Sometimes all we wish for is a lighthouse to guide us through darker times.
|
School’s out for summer,
but I’m still at home
Studying the ceiling of a place I used to know
and it shows
it’s growing old
The pages are turning
faster than before
I barley remember the chapters anymore
Would I know,
if you told me how it goes?
Tell me what comes next
I didn’t plan this one out yet
Scouring unknown seas
for a lighthouse in the dark
to lead me back to the start
Tracking the traces
I left on the wall
Painting it over
‘til I don’t see it anymore But it shows
if you look up close
I know that I told you:
“I’m not the same”
But I get this feeling that I haven’t changed
Cause if I look inside again
I’m still a girl with a silly name
Tell me what comes next
I didn’t plan this one out yet
Scouring unknown seas
for a lighthouse in the dark
to lead me back to the start
