The animals are the victims of their lack of care and their cruel irresponsibilty. I set up and ran a shelter in Greece, one of the most difficult countries to work in when it comes to animal welfare – we had no problem caring for, loving and rehoming literally hundreds of dogs and cats – and there was only two of us at the time!'
