Light and bouncy and about coming home

Everyone has somewhere they run to when the world gets on top of them. Most places have a landmark that you see when you get there. When I see that bridge across the harbour I know I’ve reached my safe haven.

Feel I’m living someone else’s life, trapped inside their body, not in mine
When there’s nothing left of me to give I run to a place that’s clean and calm
Warmth in a smile melts my frozen heart maybe there’s a chance I’ll turn a friendly card
When I see that bridge across the harbour, sense the weight lift from off my shoulders
Get the feeling I am real again and I belong to everyone
If I have to dig to find a clue, plagued by riddles that I cannot solve
And I feel the need to be renewed, to start again with fresh wind in my sails
I will shield my eyes and stare towards the bay, I’m sure the peace I want is coming any day
When I see that bridge across the harbour, sense the weight lift from off my shoulders
Get the feeling I am real again and I belong to everyone
