"Dressed Like Blasphemy" follows a Relay survivor using beauty as counter-surveillance. The black dress lets her move through the city without the usual blue-light exposure, turning fabric into a temporary shield against cameras, pricing, and public ownership.

The song is tense because the disguise is alive with cost. It gives the narrator one sweet minute of feeling like a woman instead of a warning sign, but the hidden brand remains, and the thing beneath the cloth keeps feeding. In the Aurelia/Cradle side of the Relay mythology, that makes the track feel like another bargain with a protector that can save the body while eating the self.

Music, arrangements and lyrics: Andre Willowisp. Vocals: Eira Nova. Artwork: SURVIVORIA.

No glow
No show
Motherfucker, look away
Ghost cloth
Soft rot
Make the blue go grey

First step in a coat made of stolen night
Street lights slide over me. They don’t bite
No one reads s_c_r_i_p_ture off the curve of my waist
No one drinks shame from the glow I erased
The city knew me by the bruise and brand
Now I ghost through the frame like sleight-of-hand
Every eye slips off me, every camera bleeds
And goddamn, invisibility feels obscene

Beneath the satin, something wetly grins
A hush with teeth and a pulse like sin
“Keep walking, pretty slut, don’t freeze
I can make them blind if you keep feeding me”

DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
Black prayer on my bones
First time the street can’t strip me
Down to wires, light, and codes
No blue testimony
No public liturgy
But every pretty thread
Cuts another strip from me
DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
Fuck, I almost believe
If I keep this skin on
The city cannot read me
But under every seam
Something colder feeds
DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
And the dress is eating me

Pretty costs blood
Pretty costs memory
Pretty costs skin
Pretty costs me
Wear it clean
Wear it mean
Let them miss
Let me bleed

I keep touching the sleeve like it might dissolve
Like the law will wake and the lie resolve
But the shock never comes and the night stays numb
And I swear for a second I become no one
No mouths on my lattice, no hands on my light
No stray little scavengers pricing me tonight
It’s not freedom — it’s a cleaner disease
A black silk syringe in the back of my dreams

Now the whisper climbs higher, slow and mean
“Nothing comes free when you come this clean
One dress, one heartbeat, one memory, one name
You can have the silence, but you won’t stay the same”

DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
Black prayer on my bones
First time the street can’t strip me
Down to wires, light, and codes
No blue testimony
No public liturgy
But every pretty thread
Cuts another strip from me
DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
Fuck, I almost believe
If I keep this skin on
The city cannot read me
But under every seam
Something colder feeds
DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
And the dress is eating me

I was born a warning sign
Blue doom sutured through my hide
Now black cloth kisses every line
And tells my panic, “Call it pride”
I trade the stare for the whisper
The leash for a sleeve
The pain they can count
For the pain underneath
One more layer
One less name
One more “beautiful”
One less me

DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
Cathedral cut to fit
First time I walk past hunger
And it doesn’t catch my scent
No blue testimony
No open-air decree
But every gorgeous lie
Takes another lung from me
DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
Fuck, I love the sting
For one sweet minute I’m a woman
Not a warning
Then under every seam
I hear the payment sing
DRESSED LIKE BLASPHEMY
And the dress is wearing me

No glow
No show
Motherfucker, don’t you see?
I hid the brand
The brand didn’t leave
Pretty costs blood
Pretty costs memory
Pretty costs me x
