"Where Daylight Is Ephemeral" makes the Relay world feel permanently transitional: a place where relief flashes briefly, then disappears before anyone can live inside it. Daylight is present only as a failing interval between longer systems of blue surveillance and rust.
The track works as a breath before the album sinks deeper into repetition. It suggests that even natural light has become temporary under a machine that knows how to keep returning.
