This song came to me back in 1999 I believe and I was sitting there thinking about all the terrible decisions I used to make and how all of that really changed when I was introduced to Jesus Christ. My wife was used to lead me to Jesus and I'll always be indebted to her for that. I was "on my way" to a better life of trying to serve Jesus instead of myself. With my friends Josh and Brian, this song became possible. I normally didn't write songs like this but it just came out with that acoustic sound in my head. With Josh singing and Brian adding the base line, I think it came out better than I thought it would. Anyways, the song is really about my life and quite possibly yours. Sometimes we have to hit a few landmines in our lives to get our attention. Jesus got my attention but I know I still have so far to go. He has blessed me and my family in so many ways. Even though I don't really write music anymore, this one was one of my favorites.
