Job chapters 36, 37, 38
Have you entered the springs of the sea?
Have you walked in search of the depths?
Caught a glimpse of the glistening gates
or the doors of the shadow of death?
He laid the foundations of the earth
He balanced the corners of the sky
Setting the sequence of the stars
like diamonds on velvet to the eyes
Who knows where the wind’s blowing?
Often times we haven’t got a notion
God moves like the swell of the sea —
Contrary motion
By the breath of God the waters froze
He gave birth to the ice and snow
He divided a channel for the overflow
and a path for the thunderbolt
Can we comprehend His wondrous hand
in the spreading of the clouds?
The thunder from His canopy
The rumbling from His mouth
Bow and behold, for God is great
His ways are not our ways
He’s the deliverer, just have faith
(perhaps not in the way we’d like,
the manner or the time)
