fiogf49gjkf0d I've had this dream ten thousand days
A picture painted many ways
Always brilliant, richly hued
"Man," they'd say, "That's one cool dude!"
But every day that passes by
The richness fades, yet still I try
Some days, I think, I can never fail
Inching closer, lean over the rail
Up into the sky, basking in the glow
Or plummet back to earth, far down below
Will I be too old to fly, by the time I catch your eye?
I'm wishing more...
A little more time, a little more fire
I'm missing more...
A victim of the crime of unquenchable desire
Does it mean I lack that certain high?
Will it be the death of me to try?
So, in vain, I write another song
Getting better, and you can sing along
Something different, while still sounding new
I can't help myself, what am I to do?
Then the question much explored
Where, from here, if still ignored?
Can I keep it up if only for myself?
Will it ever fade? Or slip into the gulf?
Can I be content? Can I let it go?
Until the very end, I may never know
No, I'm not that hot to see
But I'll keep strumming happily
