Starting a new career at a later age may seem crazy yet all the same vulnerabilities are there as if you were young. I just wished I had an Angel to help me make the right decisions.

I recorded this earlier as a Demo. After playing in a band for a little more than a year, the song had a few changes that I wanted to reflect in the new recording. Also, finally scraped the money together to put out an EP and this is one of the most popular songs I do. I hope you like the new version.

Angel on my Shoulder – (January 2006-02-18) Words & Music -Carolyn Stewart
Maybe I missed my chance
Maybe I closed my eyes too soon
Maybe my time has not yet come
Looking around at all the young faces
Funny how time has stolen traces …of a woman I knew
Question where I’m going just another fork in the road,
....sure could use some direction
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
Faced with trials, just want to simplify my life
Avoid the obstacles that stand in my way
Scared if I slow down hopes and dreams will disappear
....And that will be the end of my day.
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I’m a woman yet a child inside
I need protection maybe a guiding light
It’s hard to stay strong when my weaknesses are great
I want to give up... ...give up this fight
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
