I'm a news junkie..it's part of my other career, but I'd probably do it anyway. So I'm constantly scanning the internet, cable, etc... for up to the minute stuff. But the whole thing has become cacophonous with people yelling at each other, and facts being manipulated for advantage. I just got tired of the whole thing and wrote this song....if you want my attention for your position, you need to work for it with detail and logical argument, not with loudness, fluff and eye candy.
Ron Brault: Guitars, lead vocal, harmony vocal, tamborine
Doug Leess: bass, wurly, harmony vocal
Pete Generous: drums

Every hour of every day, someone’s trying to steal my soul away
That ain’t cool, that ain’t right, how ‘bout a little less drama tonight
You gotta work for it, you gotta work for it
If it’s all right with you, it’s all right with me
I’m not gonna fall, for your history
But I can’t turn it off, I can’t turn it down
I won’t be a fool or become your clown
You’re gonna have to work for it
24/7 ..it’s blasting my ear, down is up and up is down from here
lot’s of confusion all around, just tryin to stay away from Crazytown
You gotta work for it, you gotta work for it
If it’s all right with you, I’m gonna stay right here
You sure are pretty, but you’re insincere
I can’t turn it off, I can’t turn it down
I won’t be a fool or become your clown
You’re gonna have to work for it
